Anivia Matchups Overview
Anivia General information
Anivia transforms into an egg on taking fatal damage periodically where she can't move or cast abilities. She also gains -40 - 20 (based on level) bonus armor and bonus magic resistance. She is reborn after six seconds, with the amount of health her egg had if the enemy doesn't kill her egg during that duration.
A double cast ability where the first cast launches a massive chunk of ice that flies to a target location, dealing magic damage and slowing enemies that it passes through for 3 seconds. It can also be recast after the cast time. On recasting, Anivia shatters the chunk of ice, instantly stunning anyone in its blast radius and dealing magic damage to them.
Summons a wall of ice at a target location. It knocks all units away from it and acts as impassable terrain for the next 5 seconds.
A point and click damage ability which deals magic damage to the targeted enemy unit. The damage is doubled against targets who are stunned by her Q or damaged by a fully formed Ultimate within the last 3 seconds.
Creates a snowstorm at a target location which slows and deals magic damage to targets within it every single second. The storm's size increases in size over 1.5 seconds and at maximum size, the enemies within the storm will receive 300% damage and suffer a 50% stronger slow which will last for 1.5 seconds. The ability can be recast, or Anivia can move too far away from it to deactivate it, and it will automatically deactivate if she runs out of mana. Additionally, it can also be deactivated by all forms of interrupting CC.

Play safer when you do not have your Passive available as you will be an easy target for the enemy.
In team fights, look to lock down the closest enemy champion with your Q. Focus on using the rest of your abilities to peel and protect yourself and the rest of your team.
You can use both your W and R as a zoning tool to help you siege objectives and get picks. Be careful though as you’re vulnerable when your W is down.
