If Malzahar hasn't taken damage for a period of time (based on level), he becomes immune to crowd control and takes 90% reduced damage on the next instance of damage or crowd control.
Malzahar opens two portals at a target location. After a short delay, all enemies in between the portals take damage and are silenced.
Malzahar gains stacks of Gathering Swarm (max 2) when he casts other spells. He can consume his stacks to summon voidlings which deal damage (bonus to monsters and minions).
Malzahar infects a target, dealing periodic damage. Damaging the target with another spell refreshes the duration. If the target dies with Malefic Visions on it, it will spread to the nearest enemy.
Malzahar channels a target enemy, suppressing them and dealing periodic damage over 2.5 seconds. Additionally, a Null Zone is opened beneath the target, dealing damage to all enemies within.

Your Passive shield has a very long cooldown in the early game, so you’ll have to play a little safer while it’s down.
