Sett Strengths & Weaknesses

Sett is great in extended trades thanks to his Knuckle DownQ. As long as he can stick to an enemy champion, he should win 1v1 fights.

His Ultimate The Show StopperR allows him to both get tanks off his carries as well as deal a lot of damage to the enemy team if he manages to ult his target into them. This can change the tide of a team fight in an instant.

His Passive allows him to regenerate a lot of health so he can resort to short burst trades against enemy champions unlike other tanks. His HaymakerW does deceptively high damage as well, while providing damage mitigation to him.

Can be kited to oblivion, especially when he is against a ranged carry with some form or dash or peel.

Misuse of his HaymakerW can get him killed as it is his only form of damage mitigation. He can’t escape easily if someone all-ins him after he uses this ability.

If the enemy is smart, they will avoid grouping up during fights. This will prevent Sett from using his Ultimate The Show StopperR effectively, as he won’t be able to land a lot of damage or slow multiple members of the enemy team.

Game plan
Early game
0 - 15 min
Sett is Strong

This champion is an early game bully. Play aggressive throughout the laning phase to get kills. If you can get a kill or two, you can snowball your lead pretty quickly.

Whenever your Ultimate The Show StopperR is up, you can look for aggressive plays to try and kill the enemy. Your Ultimate The Show StopperR is a great trading tool which makes you much stronger.

Keep the minion wave even or slightly closer to your side of the map early on. This will allow you to run the enemy down while protecting yourself from ganks. If you keep pushing when you’re not ahead, you will be unable to run the enemy down and you’ll be an easy target for the enemy Jungler.

Mid game
15 - 25 min
Sett is Strong

Split push during the mid-game and try to secure side objectives. Avoid grouping if possible.

Use your strong duelling potential in the mid-game to fight and duel anyone who tries to stop you from split pushing.

Although you’re a really strong split pusher in the mid-game, be prepared to group with your team and fight 5v5. You should usually start grouping when there are no nearby objectives to take.

Late game
25+ min
Sett is Average

After going in with your Ultimate The Show StopperR, be prepared to fall back and peel for your allies in late game team fights.

To make getting on the enemy backline easier, group with your team but stay off to the side. If you flank from an unwarded bush, the enemy will find it harder to react to your all-in. Avoid splitting or being away from your team in the late game as the enemy will force a fight while you’re gone.

Play around your Ultimate The Show StopperR in the later parts of the game. Avoid fighting unless your Ultimate The Show StopperR is up. Fighting without it will make the late game team fights much harder. Delay fights and be prepared to disengage if it’s still on cooldown.

Power Spikes
Early game0 - 15 min

Sett gets a minor power spike when he unlocks his HaymakerW. He can now take short trades, use his HaymakerW to deal damage, and mitigate damage.

Sett gets another power spike on unlocking his FacebreakerE. It will allow him to set plays for his Jungler/ADC.

Unlocking his Ultimate The Show StopperR should give him a significant power spike. This power spike is also dependent on his target. The tankier the target, the better the Ultimate The Show StopperR.

Mid game15 - 25 min

Getting his core items will help him dish out a lot of damage with his Passive. His FacebreakerE should help him get to his target quickly.

Sett excels during team fights as his HaymakerW allows him to absorb a lot of damage and deal a lot of true damage.

He should look for flanks on the enemy team and use his Ultimate The Show StopperR appropriately. If he manages to separate a high priority target, the payout for the all-in will be increased for his team.

Late game25+ min

Sett should be focusing on front lining for his team and soaking as much damage as he can. His HaymakerW will allow him to survive for a long time.

Sett's Ultimate The Show StopperR will be very useful during this phase of the game. It will allow him to ult the tankiest enemy member onto the enemy team and deal a lot of damage.

He should be present during most of the team fights to help his team. His abilities should let him have a lot of presence during a team fight, and his Passive will allow him to dish out a lot of damage in a short period.
