Heavy power spike at level two which allows him to run an enemy down with his E, Q combo. This combined with his Passive and Summoner Spells may easily get him a kill on a squishy target.
Really good wave clear with his W, Q and Ultimate R. This causes him to gain priority really fast and it also helps him secure objectives with his Jungler.
Post-six, he can practically one shot an enemy with his combo while simultaneously re-positioning with his E. His E also makes him quite slippery, which allows him to evade ganks with ease.
Very vulnerable when his E is down which can allow him to be very susceptible to ganks. Enemy Junglers can take this opportunity to camp him relentlessly.
Reliant on items to win the game. If he is set back during the early game, he won’t be able to do a lot in the late game as he just falls off.
If he manages to get an early lead, he may be able to snowball if left unchecked. He falls off massively though so the longer the game goes, the worse it is for Lucian.

Get level 2 first and look for a favourable trade with the enemy. Gaining an early health advantage will help you out.
Focus on farming and looking for aggressive plays once the enemy uses an ability. Play around their abilities and look to abuse their cooldowns with your early game damage.
After destroying the bottom lane tower, rotate to the mid lane and try to take that tower. This will open up the map and give your team a gold lead.
15 - 25 min
Stay with your Support throughout the mid-game. If you move away from them, you will be an easy target for the enemy. Make sure you’re always near at least 1 ally.
Group and stay with your team at all times. Do not split push or avoid grouping unless you have a good reason to be away from them.
Look for picks with your Support/Jungler to get kills and increase your lead. If you kill a key target, you could make the call for Baron.
Stick with your team in the later parts of the game. If you walk away from them and die, it will be 4v5 and the enemy may be able to force a fight or end the game.
Focus the nearest enemy champion in team fights and watch your positioning. Hold on to your E for the right opportunity. Do not use it recklessly.
Stick towards the back of your team near the Support so they can peel and protect you.
Lucian gets his central power spike at level two when he has access to his Q and W. This is his typical all-in combo, which does significant damage due to how his Passive works.
His power and presence in the lane depends on his positioning. Look to make quick bursts trade regularly.
Once he gets his Ultimate R, he gets the agency to both run overextended enemies down, as well as wave clear if need be.
Lucian's damage output increases as he gets his core items. If he happens to get a lead over his enemies during the early game, he should be quite set to carry the mid-game.
His E will come in very handy during this phase of the game, especially during skirmishes around the map. The main goal is to dodge CC when he is threatened.
Fighting in open spaces is optimal for preserving Lucian's power during the mid-game. This is because he needs the freedom to kite his enemies.
Unless Lucian has a massive lead on the enemy team, he will start falling off as the enemy buys defensive items. This makes it very important for him to abuse his early power spikes well.
Lucian's Ultimate R will have a very short cooldown during this point of the game. It can make up for some potent long-ranged poke, especially when the enemy team is CC heavy.
Lucian's best time to fight will be when he is out of any threat of getting CC'd by the enemy team. It would be better for him to wait until the enemy team uses their main CC abilities.
