Twisted Fate Strengths & Weaknesses

He has a lot of poke damage built in his kit. His Wild CardsQ is the most obnoxious one as it helps him both poke and waveclear at the same time. This allows him to freely push the lane and get some damage off as well.

His Pick a CardW makes him quite a versatile champion and provides him with sustenance in the form of mana. He can even set-up kills for his team with his gold card.

His Ultimate DestinyR makes him the king of macro as he can use it to be present in any team fight, even if he happens to be on the other side of the map. This also allows him to detect every enemy champion on the map, which is quite beneficial for his team.

Extremely squishy and immobile early on which can make him susceptible to ganks due to how his kit works. This will force him to play defensively, else he will just get camped.

Misuse of his Pick a CardW can cause a lot of issues for him. Junglers will wait for him to have this ability on cooldown before they try to gank him. Locking in improper cards during improper times can cause a lot of issues too.

Improper usage of his Ultimate DestinyR can get both him and his team killed, which will ultimately lead to a massive throw. This is due to the fact that Twisted Fate is a macro-based champion, and proper decision making is necessary to play this champion efficiently.

Game plan
Early game
0 - 15 min
Twisted Fate is Average

Your goal throughout the laning phase is to poke and harass the enemy in lane. You have a lot of poke, so try to poke the enemy down as often as you can.

Play safe for the first few levels while you land poke on the enemy with your Wild CardsQ. Once they’re low enough, you can commit to an all-in.

Once you’ve hit level 6 and purchased key component items, look to harass and constantly push the enemy into their tower. This will allow you to earn turret plating and increase your gold income.

Mid game
15 - 25 min
Twisted Fate is Average

After your bot lane has moved to the mid lane, rotate to the bot side of the map or somewhere else on the map so you can continue to farm and gain XP.

Try and siege objectives with your team during the mid-game. You have strong poking tools which will allow you to siege objectives with ease. Try to poke the enemy down as much as possible while your team tries to take towers (or the Dragon or Baron).

Delay team fights for as long as possible while you harass the enemy and poke them down with your Wild CardsQ.

Late game
25+ min
Twisted Fate is Average

Stick with your team in the late game. Do not split up or walk away from them otherwise the enemy may try to pick you off or initiate a 4v5 fight when you’re away from your team.

Look for picks with your abilities. Picking someone off and then collapsing on them to take them down is a great way of winning a team fight and ending the game. Look for picks on isolated targets if possible.

Keep a constant eye on you and your allies positioning. You need to poke the enemy down and delay fights in the late game, but you need to watch your positioning as you move forward to harass. Do not get picked off by trying to harass and poke the enemy down.

Power Spikes
Early game

His Wild CardsQ is a very potent poke and wave clearing tool in the lane. It will allow him to get lane priority over his opponent.

Obtaining his Pick a CardW will make him very versatile and powerful for the entirety of the game. His gold card will be essential.

Once he gets his Ultimate DestinyR, he will unlock his true macro potential. Now he can show up to any part of the map to help his allies.

Mid game

His Wild CardsQ harass will be really difficult to deal with during this phase of the game. Getting more items will increase his overall power.

Twisted Fate can look for picks during this phase of the game. His Pick a CardW and Ultimate DestinyR allow him to do just that.

Hitting level eleven is another significant power spike. He will get a good boost in his overall stats, and his Ultimate DestinyR will be on a shorter cooldown.

Late game

His Pick a CardW Red Card will come in very handy during this stage of the game. The AoE damage will allow him to clear waves almost immediately and allow him to slow enemies.

His Ultimate DestinyR will be a force to reckon with during this phase of the game. He can resort to split pushing to gather attention and can then escape out with his Ultimate DestinyR at the right moment.

Twisted Fate can backdoor quite easily if his team manages to destroy the Nexus towers. He should always be on the lookout for such opportunities to shift the balance of power.
