Wukong Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths

His Warrior TricksterW can allow him to juke as well as initiate ganks with ease. This is especially effective when he has his Sweeper activated, or the enemy team has no vision set-up.

He unlocks his true power when he gets his Ultimate CycloneR. It can easily allow him to crowd control unsuspecting targets and set his team up for success and follow up crowd control.

He excels at extended trades due to how his Crushing BlowQ and Nimbus StrikeE works. This enables him to duel enemies easily, especially if they are overextended.

Weaknesses

He is inefficient before he gets his Ultimate CycloneR so he can be invaded during this time. He can easily be taken down if the enemy roams with another teammate.

His Warrior TricksterW is the only form of self-peel for him. Once that is down, his enemies can easily catch up to him, as well as crowd control him and force him to recall.

Heavily countered by proper vision placement, especially during the early game. This will prevent him from roaming/ganking and will keep the solo laner safe against him.

Game plan
Early game
0 - 15 min
Wukong is Average

This champion is an early game bully. Play aggressive throughout the laning phase to get kills. If you can get a kill or two, you can snowball your lead pretty quickly.

Whenever your Ultimate CycloneR is up, you can look for aggressive plays to try and kill the enemy. Your Ultimate CycloneR is a great trading tool which makes you much stronger.

Keep the minion wave even or slightly closer to your side of the map early on. This will allow you to run the enemy down while protecting yourself from ganks. If you keep pushing when you’re not ahead, you will be unable to run the enemy down and you’ll be an easy target for the enemy Jungler.

Mid game
15 - 25 min
Wukong is Strong

Split push during the mid-game and try to secure side objectives. Avoid grouping if possible.

Use your strong duelling potential in the mid-game to fight and duel anyone with your CycloneR who tries to stop you from split pushing.

Although you’re a really strong split pusher in the mid-game, be prepared to group with your team and fight 5v5. You should usually start grouping when there are no nearby objectives to take.

Late game
25+ min

After going in with your Ultimate CycloneR, be prepared to fall back and peel for your allies in late game team fights.

To make getting on the enemy backline easier, group with your team but stay off to the side. If you flank from an unwarded bush, the enemy will find it harder to react to your all-in. Avoid splitting or being away from your team in the late game as the enemy will force a fight while you’re gone.

Play around your Ultimate CycloneR in the later parts of the game. Avoid fighting unless your Ultimate CycloneR is up. Fighting without it will make the late game team fights much harder. Delay fights and be prepared to disengage if it’s still on cooldown.

Power Spikes
Early game

His Warrior TricksterW is a potent tool. He can use it to bait enemies into damaging his clone, escaping from an all-in, and initiating an all-in.

Wukong's Nimbus StrikeE and Crushing BlowQ are quite potent dueling abilities. He should be able to go for short burst trades against his enemies and use his Warrior TricksterW to escape.

Getting his Ultimate CycloneR is a massive power spike for him. He can now go for full-blown all-ins on the enemy team. He can also use his Warrior TricksterW invisibility to get into the enemy ranks.

Mid game

Getting more items will allow Wukong to take over the game very quickly. After completing his first and second item, his damage output will be incredibly potent.

His Ultimate CycloneR should allow him to fight easily in tight spaces. The knockup will let his teammates follow up on his engagement and decimate the enemy team.

Level eleven is another considerable power spike for Wukong. He will do more damage with his Ultimate CycloneR and can use it frequently.

Late game

Wukong can look for easy picks during this phase of the game. His burst damage is very significant, and he can one-shot any squishy carry in the game.

His Nimbus StrikeE and Warrior TricksterW should help him a lot during fights. He should be trying to play around vision and flanking the enemy backline with his Warrior TricksterW. This will allow him to quickly destroy the enemy backline.

He can zone enemies out of neutral objective fights with his presence. He can also try to use his Warrior TricksterW to bait enemies into thinking that he is going in on them. All of this contributes to his overall in-game power.
