Shock Training Scrapper Build Guide for PvE

Build

required skill points: 328

The Shock Training playstyle really encourages you to manage your Shock and stamina resources well. With long cooldowns and powerful abilities, you can’t afford to miss your attacks.

This playstyle is the burst version of the Scrapper with the most destruction and stagger potential. You take a few yellow skills to build shock meter, and the rest are your explosive attacks like Death RattleDeath Rattle and SupernovaSupernova. You also have access to one of the best counters in the game.

If you'd prefer a faster-paced build with more mobility, try out the Taijutsu build.

You want to max your 4 hard hitting skills first, minding the order above. It's important to have enough points in your stamina skills for the FocusFocus tripod, since their main purpose is to build stamina. After that, maxing your counter and then charging blow will give you the greatest gains.

How to play

The two most important things you need to as a Scrapper are manage your shock meter and connect with your hardest hitting abilities from behind for the bonus damage and crit.

You deal a massive amount of burst damage with SupernovaSupernova and Death RattleDeath Rattle and can't afford to miss them. Death RattleDeath Rattle scales with shock stored , so it should be used only if you are above 75% meter. It also depletes your entire shock bar , so it should be used after SupernovaSupernova.

Skill Usage Priority

Since your cooldowns are long, you will have to space your abilities and read the boss's movements judging how big each burst window is. When you get an opportunity to strike, you should look to use the hardest hitting skills off cooldown buffered by Stamina skills to fill meter. It will look something like this:

  1. Crushing SmiteCrushing Smite
  2. SupernovaSupernova
  3. Charging BlowCharging Blow
  4. Death RattleDeath Rattle

After that the boss will likely move and you will need to find an opportunity use the rest of your Shock skills. It will look something like this:

  1. Fierce Tiger StrikeFierce Tiger Strike
  2. Chain Destruction FistChain Destruction Fist
  3. True Rising FistTrue Rising Fist
  4. Roundup SweepRoundup Sweep until it goes off cooldown

Remember that you always will prioritize SupernovaSupernova and Death RattleDeath Rattle if they are off cooldown.

Cursed Doll

Max your class engraving first, and then Grudge and Ambush Master will give you the most gains. Spirit Absorption is great for ensuring you can get in your burst. Feel free to substitute Cursed Doll for Adrenaline if you feel comfortable keeping it up.

This build allows you to get enough crit to run Keen Blunt Weapon at the cost of the comfort of Spirit Absorption. Only recommend if you want the biggest hits possible while being punished heavily for mistakes.

Specialization makes your abilities hit harder, and Crit will ramp that up, so you want about a 60/40 distribution between them. What that means is that you want Crit on your neck and one extra accessory for optimized damage.

Attack Gems

Death Rattle

Supernova

Chain Destruction Fist

True Rising Fist

Roundup Sweep

All your shock skills need the attack boost. Prioritize leveling the gems for SupernovaSupernova and Death RattleDeath Rattle.

Gear Set

You will use Preordained Diligence from Argos until you hit 1445 and can get the Earth's Entropy Set. This will dramatically increase the damage of your burst combo.
