You equip all your hard hitting cannon skills like in this build. Since these skills are Red on the hot bar, it's known as the Red Build. You have massive burst damage, great weak point destruction and stagger, are still relatively tanky because of Defensive Stance, and can support your allies with shields and taunts... talk about an MVP!

The more Swiftness you have the easier your rotation becomes. You want at least 1300 Crit with a standard build to make sure you are taking advantage of your class engraving.
Specialization does nothing for you, so avoid it at all costs. An alternate build is to get more Swiftness and make your rotation cleaner and more frequent- just make sure you take the appropriate engravings.
