An oldie but a goodie.

Shellshocker can be a variety of other tech options such as more topend (Genevieve) or Laurent Protege. I prefer Shellshocker because Scouts wants to always be committing to the board while having spell mana for protection/Rallies/For Demacia; thus, I value being able to make these less awkward while playing units on curve to go wide with. In a non-Bannerman list, Shellshocker is also almost unanimously a direct upgrade to Jagged Butcher and Cithria of Cloudfield (both used to see play, and the stock list still plays the former to my chagrin). While Shellshocker is weaker to removal, he trades the exact same way Butcher does in combat while also having potential upside.
