Sona Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths

Good pick potential with CrescendoR. It can help her get a lot of kills for her and her team.

She scales like a truck and becomes extremely strong during the late game. It allows her to deal respectable amounts of damage while also healing and shielding her team for a good amount.

Her Hymn of ValorQ poke builds up immensely over time. With the constant usage of this ability, Sona can force her laners to recall abruptly and cause a setback in their plans.

Weaknesses

Very squishy during the early game which makes her quite disposable and easy to set back. She can’t do much if she gets camped in the lane.

Has no form of priority in the lane during the early game as her Hymn of ValorQ does meager amounts of damage and her Aria of PerseveranceW is best not used until absolutely necessary.

Missing her Ultimate CrescendoR guarantees a team fight win for the enemy team and reduces Sona’s usefulness by a huge amount. Improper usage of her Passive can yield the same results.

Game plan
Early game
0 - 15 min
Sona is Weak

Just focus on poking the enemy with your Hymn of ValorQ and do not overextend. The goal is to scale up and reach the late game.

Use your Aria of PerseveranceW very discreetly as thee ability costs a lot of mana. Moreover, use it to save yourself from burst combos.

Unlocking your Ultimate CrescendoR will give you a massive incentive during team fights. Make sure you position well and show up to team fights.

Mid game
15 - 25 min
Sona is Average

During the mid-game, you will want to group up as much as possible. This will help you deal with enemies who are tankier than you. You will be pretty safe from assassins as well.

Your Hymn of ValorQ should deal a lot of damage now. Make sure you whittle down the enemy before you all-in them else, you may not have enough damage to kill your target.

Fight around closed areas when possible, as your Ultimate CrescendoR will be pretty easy to land there. The cooldown will be reduced as well, making it easy for you to use the ability frequently.

Late game
25+ min
Sona is Strong

Stay with your team at all times. Avoid moving around the map alone, so you do not get caught out. Getting caught out will result in your team having to play 4v5. Do not ward alone unless you know where the enemy is.

Your damage will be pretty severe to deal with for the enemy team. Make sure you position yourself well and do not get caught out of nowhere or assassinated by assassins.

Do not hesitate to use your Ultimate CrescendoR. This is mainly because it will be on a short cooldown, and your Ultimate CrescendoR will be up frequently.

Power Spikes
Early game0 - 15 min

She is pretty weak early on, so she will want to use her Hymn of ValorQ to damage enemies occasionally and use the lane brushes to drop vision on her.

Level six is the central power spike for Sona in the early game. It will let her be effective in team fights, and now she can easily change the tide of a fight.

The first item component increases her damage and allows her to use her abilities a bit more frequently. She is still mana-hungry, so she will need to be careful about spamming spells.

Mid game15 - 25 min

2 points in her Ultimate CrescendoR will let her help her team pick off-targets. Other than that, she can also use it defensively to escape from unfavorable situations.

Her mid-game presence is strong as she dishes out a lot of damage and can quickly heal up her team. The movement speed increase is pretty lovely too.

Her first ability will be maxed out at level nine, allowing her to deal out much damage. It will also increase the damage of her allies' attacks if they happen to be in the ability's aura.

Late game25+ min

A fully maxed out Ultimate CrescendoR will put it on a very short cooldown, and Sona can completely change the outcome of a fight with that ability. The Flash > Ultimate CrescendoR combo can be pretty devastating.

Her late-game fights are pretty potent as she can heal up her allies for quite a lot of health and deal a lot of damage quickly. Her Ultimate CrescendoR will be game-changing as well.

She will have many items during this phase of the game, allowing her to deal a lot of damage in short bursts. She can quickly kill squishy targets who can't get away from her.
