Singed Counter tips

Laning Against

Singed will often look to proxy the first wave between the two towers setting up huge early pressure leading to gold and experience leads. Whilst you can dissuade Singed by catching him as he’s pathing through your jungle, it’s far more preferable to escort your minions as they walk to lane. Singed can’t fight both you and the minions simultaneously. He’ll be forced to walk back to lane late.

Constantly thin out the wave if Singed is pushing. Singed is always seeking opportunities to proxy farm between towers. His best window to do so is when he’s accumulated a large minion wave to crash under your turret forcing you to stay under turret to farm lest you decide to chase Singed in favor of CS.

In lane, Singed lacks ranged capabilities and will need to move into melee range if he wants to push or make an aggressive play. Use this opportunity to harass him and soften him up for future ally ganks or all ins.

Strategy VS

Singed’s primary win condition is to pin his opposing Top laner to their turret by proxy farming all the while absorbing jungle pressure by baiting them into revealing themselves. Do not play by Singed’s terms where he is strongest. Ignore him when he’s proxy farming.

You’ll want a good mix of AO

FlingE

and sustain as fallbacks in case Singed is able to proxy farm. Singed can do very well against champions with poor wave clearing such as Teemo, Vayne, and Pantheon. Instead, opt into champions such as Yorick, Garen, and Illaoi who can hold their waves relatively easily whilst being more impactful than Singed later into the game in teamfights.

Come mid to late game, force Singed to team fight where his kit is not optimal. He is susceptible to being kited and prone to CC, so look to lock or slow him down while kiting him.

Power Spikes

At level 6, he gains access to his

InsanityPotionR

which gives him a potent tool for disengage. It gives him bonus AP, movement speed, resistances, and health/ mana regen for the next 25 seconds. Avoid following him during this time.

After Rylai’s Crystal Sceptre and/or Dead Man’s Plate, he becomes impossible to chase without hard CC to lock him down- so don’t waste your time trying to chase Singed!

Righteous Glory will help make up for Singed’s lackluster teamfighting by enabling him a respectable engage option. Although CC will still stop him in his tracks. Lock him down while he runs towards you.
