Every patch, our experts curate a predictive tier list for climbing solo queue based recent buffs, nerfs, and trends.
We rate champions as Optimal (S-tier), Great (A-tier), or Good (B-tier) based on their ability to perform in the current meta. Champions are also given a skill floor difficulty rating to indicate how much of a time investment is needed to see positive results.
If a champion isn’t on our tier list, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t climb with them. You’ll just have to put in more effort to get similar results as our Optimal, Great, and Good choices for climbing.

Fiora has been on the rise lately due to her buffs from previous patches and now the most popular champions currently are tanks and bruisers that
Fiora's kit does extermely well against. Combine that with the fact that poke and zoning champions are not as prevelant in the meta anymore, Fiora can thrive in the splitpush or the group phase now. - prohibit unranked
Trundle Buffs? And a Dragonslayer Skin? Hang on a second I gotta get a new pair of briefs. Okay so Trundle got a slight buff this patch to his W and E increasing his chasedown potential by...a lot!
With Trundle I prefer to keep Press the Attack over Conquerer, but you can substitute it for personal preference. With these buffs I can possibly see Trundle as a blind pickable Jungler instead of just a counter pick.
For pathing, be sure to utilize a full blue side clear into Red or Blue, Gromp, Red, or Red, Blue, Gromp for level 3. Trundle may not necessarily beat Olaf or Elise pre level 6 but he will against everybody else thanks to his Q taking stats away. After level 6 just prepare to run down your enemies with ease! - Flaress DIAMOND III
Aurelion Sol has always had a lower play rate but extremely high win rate and Season 10 is no exception.
If anything we have seen him rise again with a few new additions to the game like Conqueror and our new elemental drake system. Conqueror and Electrocute are both good keystones, but with Conqueror you can endlessly kite, while healing, and stay in fights much longer.
Roaming is absolute king in Season 10 especially with Drake as the prize when you roam to bot lane successfully. His damage output is better now that his W has been reworked, he can duel well and his early power combined with quick roams is exactly what this season is about. - Morïarty DIAMOND II
Jinx had a good buff this patch that will now allow her to activate her passive from killing epic monsters like Dragon or Baron.
The Season 10 changes encourage a ton of fights around these objectives so while it may seem small, it should have a relatively big game impact, as long as her team is the one to get it.
With that active she will do a lot more damage, be able to kite easier and chase people down who were trying to contest.
Jinx is already a strong ADC and thankfully avoids the Stormrazor nerf in 10.2 as she wasn't building it in the first place opting instead for an Infinity Edge rush. - ρhy unranked
Taric is a very strong pick and is great against every S tier champion on our roster. He is great because he can turn around any exchange from a tank or engage support with his stun: leaving them over extended and out of position which can be capitalized on.
Taric is not only great against tanks though. He is also good against poke and ranged champions if he can stun them with his E. He can do this in a few different ways by either burning his Flash, or by looking to fight as soon as they walk forward to poke.
The only problem laning against poke supports though is remaining healthy in lane. Constant adaptation with good positioning is key to remaining healthy and being able to do things in lane as Taric.
Pick up Taric if you want an easier tank support to play that doesn’t require any combos in lane. - PicklePants unranked
