See how pro players and one-trick ponies build your favorite champions with our new Pro Builds feature!
Every patch, our experts curate a predictive tier list for climbing solo queue based recent buffs, nerfs, and trends.
We rate champions as Optimal (S-tier), Great (A-tier), or Good (B-tier) based on their ability to perform in the current meta. Champions are also given a skill floor difficulty rating to indicate how much of a time investment is needed to see positive results.
If a champion isn’t on our tier list, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t climb with them. You’ll just have to put in more effort to get similar results as our Optimal, Great, and Good choices for climbing.

Shen does a great job of impacting the map thanks to his global ultimate which has just been buffed to scale with Bonus HP meaning it’ll be really substantial into the later stages of the game. As much as Shen can utilize his ult to assist around the map he’s a solid laner on top of that, being able to handle melee matchups pretty comfortably due to his ability to block auto-attacks and make use of Grasp to handle bruisers. Ranged matchups may be trickier but he’s able to use his taunt to setup ganks and look to punish them.

Diana made waves in the jungle from the 11.8 buffs, she’s capable of clearing pretty effectively and is able to use that strength effectively in skirmishes. Her base stats are solid and the fact she has access to so much burst allows her to execute critical targets which is especially vital with how strong ADCs are. Look to play around lanes that have CC to set you up and you’ll be able to get fed in no time. - Noltey unranked
Vlad got some solid buffs to his Q CD and although they were partially reverted his winrate flew up substantially and we expect it to hold at a solid level. The vast amount of Ability Haste available to him puts him in a great spot as he’s able to rotate his abilities so much faster allowing him to hold his own better in skirmishes and teamfights. Vlad has always scaled like a monster and that hasn’t changed so if you are hitting lategame you’re likely to be winning the game.

Kog’Maw got some minor buffs on this patch but the real influence for the highlight is his synergy with Lulu who is looking great. This lane pairing has very often been a super difficult to deal with combo with insane DPS and scaling but also solid trading patterns in lane on the back of Kog’s W interacting well with Lulu’s E and W. This is an ideal botlane to play with your duo and a great way to carry games.

We did highlight Lulu in the pairing with Kog’maw but she’s super powerful with or without him. ADCs are super strong at the moment and with Lulu being buffed she’s in a prime position to make them hard to kill and outputting a load of damage. Her W is an incredibly strong ability, not only being able to buff allies attack speed but also shutting down opponents with an oppressive polymorph.
