Diablo 4 Sorcerer BuildChain Lightning - Emperor Palpatine
Chain Lightning needs some serious love, but if you are a die hard fan like I am, I try to make it work every season. This is a standard Raiment Tele-stomp build with Flickersteps for permanent Unstable Currents uptime. We can achieve 100% crit chance with Elementalist to try and eek out extra damage through the use of Firebolt Enchant and Devouring Blaze.
If you don't want Blizzard and Snowguards, just run a single point in ice blades and then concussive or everliving or mage lord, drop hoarfrost points
Affix Priorities
• 9230 armor • Ranks to Dev Blaze and Chain Lightning • 100% Attack Speed, drop an affix if you overcap because of greater affixes • 50-60% Crit Chance, Elementalist takes it to 100%, drop an affix if way over 60% • CDR and Resource Cost and Resource Gen • Intelligence/Max Life are interchangeable (preference)
Build Notes
- Hard cast blizzard onto a pack of enemies
- Evade (teleport enchant) on enemies to stun them with Raiment and lower UC cooldown
- Use Unstable Currents as needed (always)
- Use Defensives as needed
- Spam Cast Chain Lightning
Chain Lightning is not in the best spot, but she is usable up to T100 Pit. This is a Teleport Enchant Raiment style build that bops around stunning packs and trying to nuke them while stunned. We utilize an 8 glyph paragon to help bolster the low base damage of Chain Lightning.
We utilize blizzard on the skill for a few things
• Snowgaurds defensive aspect for Damage Reduction • Cold damage for a Tal Rasha 15%[x] stack • Damage from the Hoarfrost Passive • 20% less resource cost with Wizard's Blizzard
I tried my best with this build, it's just really hard to make good. I opted to not make a fractured winterglass shatter variant, because at that point just run Frozen Orb man.
