Build Summary

Another Season, and Blizzard is still King. If you don't know what build to play on Sorcerer, you play Blizzard. It is generally our strongest all around build. Blizzard has a large area of affect, high damage, crowd control, and staggers bosses with ease. Blizzard can reach 100% attack speed, 100% crit chance, and the Glacial Aspect has a doubled value on a staff. This build is a monster.

Build Notes

Gameplay Loop
  1. Cast Blizzard a few times until your mana is low
  2. Teleport to regen mana and get 30% DR
  3. Cast Frost Nova if necessary on packs
  4. Flame Shield as needed to regen mana or to engage/disengage
  5. Ice armor as needed
  6. Deep Freeze in a pinch, to restore mana, or after teleporting into a dense pack of suppressed enemies
How It Works

Bossing: S tier Mobbing: S tier

Blizzard received no direct buffs for Season 4. However through the way Flat damage aspects now scale based off weapon damage, Glacial on a Staff can get 6,180 damage per spike. Previously it was meta to run it on the amulet for about 3,620 a spike, and it had a value of around 5200 on a staff. Essentially Ice spikes got a 20% damage buff when running a staff no matter where you slot the aspect.

With new ways to get attack speed and resource cost reduction, notably on a Staff, Blizzard is sitting as King once again. With the ability to roll cooldown on Helm, Amulet, Tal Rasha, and X'fals losing the cooldown off of the focus is of no concern like it was in the past.

Frozen orb Enchant helps apply vulnerability, freeze enemies, and is our main applicator of Firebolt Enchant so we can utilize the Devouring Blaze Passive for a 1.42[x]-1.6[x] Damage boost to our critical strikes on burning enemies. Blizzard can achieve 100% critical strike chance with Ice spikes.
