Low Life Crone Bulwark Druid Build Details
Abuses Bulwark and Low life Damage Reduction to have nearly unbreakable barriers that explode for tons of damage when they expire. The closest thing to invincibility in D4.
Low Life is a playstyle where we intentionally drop to 35% or Below HP to make use of the stat ‘’Damage Reduction While Injured’’ it’s possible to reach above 80% DMG reduction this way, and this will apply to Shields as well. So our main HP pool will actually be our 8k shield that will now virtually function as a 40k HP when you account for the increase in Damage Reduction. On top of that, the remaining 4k HP, will be the same value of having 20k HP without the Damage reduction from Injured. I would advise to take a look at our video to better understand how this would look like.
Earthen Bulwark is our main damage ability, to reset its cooldown we use a clever combination of Symbiotic Aspect and Nature’s Fury. This will reset the cooldowns of our Non-Ultimate Abilities by 12 seconds whenever we succeed in activating the passive with one of our Nature’s skills. This is where Crone Staff comes in clutch, it will sometimes count as a double cast when you are hitting enemies, and a single cast if you hit the air.
Earthen Bulwark does a lot of damage, provides good protection is and is also our source of Unstoppable. We are kinda one tricking this ability HARD.
We take reduced damage from Vulnerable enemies, we used to slot Exploit as one of our Glyphs, as well as applying the vulnerability debuff with Poison Creeper which will also Poison and Immobilize our enemies, but upon more play testing, I think just Thunder Strike is enough and having 1 more defensive Glyph is better. To Fortify ourselves we use a combination of boons and Talents, this will make Earthen Bulwark and all defensive skills fortify us on the cast.
In-Depth Explanation
Bulwark damage scales of the stat % Barrier Generation, it does not scale of Bulwark Level, and it does not scale of Aspects. The Max barrier value is equal to your Max Life, but you can get as much extra damage as your % Barrier Generation stat EVEN if the barrier is over-capped.
Earthen Bulwark does a lot of damage, we are playing all high damage modifiers for Earth Skills that double and even quadruple dip if you apply enough sources of CC.
- Get yourself to below 35% Hp, let mobs hit you till you have 4k HP, then shield up, you can use weak mobs in open world for it, or you can just let it happen.
- Cast Bulwark and repeatedly cast Claw to reset Bulwark, make sure you filled your Fortify Bar before going into combat.
- Activate Hurricane.
- Use Cataclysm to pull mobs in.
- Make sure that before you go in, you have an extra Bulwark, already with it’s cooldown reset. Your previous Bulwark will last 9 seconds, you have 9 seconds to get close with your target and Activate Bulwark again, this will cause the previous Bulwark to explode
- Jump on Your target with a dash use Poison Creeper and activate a 2nd Earth Bulwark, it should nuke any enemy with a crit.
- Keep Spamming Auto Attacks and resetting your Bulwark.
