Diablo 4 Barbarian BuildWhirlwind HoTa
Now HoTa might not be able to hit for 100 bajillion like it used to, but it is by no means unusable, here is a Hota build that still slaps bosses and smashes through dungeons easy peasy.
Pros:
- High sustain
- Tanky
- Versatile
- Fast clear times
Cons:
- Endgame scaling
- More than one button
This is the variation of the build you'll use from level 1 until when you enter world tier 3
Where are all the aspects?! This is the early game variation so you should not expect to have the materials for all aspects, BUT, if you can afford them refer to the Mid-Game variation of this build.
For stats, keep an eye out for Strength & Max Life but don't spend too much time on this as you'll replace it very quickly.
Build Notes
- Alternate between Lunging Strike & HoTa.
- Use Iron Skin to break out of crowd control.
- Ground Stomp for a burst of fury.
- Iron Maelstrom when you want to delete every enemy on screen!
This is an updated version of the now well-known Whirlwind / HoTa build ready for season 4.
The way it works is by leveraging all of the benefits of weapon swapping, things like Earthstrikers for regular overpowers, or Furious Impulses for next to infinite fury, and much more!
One of the slickest things about this build is Whirlwind and this is because it's one of the very few skills in the game that cannot overpower (because it's a channeling skill). So we can pile on every Overpower source known to mankind in the confidence we'll only be using them on our hard-hitting HoTa.
