Sett counter tips

Laning Against

Avoid extended trades with Sett early. He has a lot of physical damage and will win most auto attack trades. Keep this in mind when trading with him.

Stand outside and as far away from the minion wave at all times. Sett can CC you and set up his Jungler/look for a trade with his

SettE

if you’re close to the wave. By standing far from it, you can reduce his ability to trade.

At level 6, Sett’s Ultimate

SettR

is pretty strong. Do not overextend or stay on low health in the lane as he can easily kill you.

Strategy VS

Try to keep your distance from Sett at all times. If you walk to close to him, he can easily CC you and trade aggressively. Only walk forward when you’re ready to fight or when last hitting minions. Back off slightly when there are no minions to last hit.

Try to keep trades short and sweet in this matchup. Extended trades work in his favour- especially if he activates his

SettW

for the shield. If you see him do this, just back off until the shield depletes.

Investing in an Executioners Calling can be quite rewarding as it will reduce his healing from his kit and items, and reduce his sustain in lane and in team fights.

Power Spikes

Sett is pretty strong at level 1. Do not trade with him as he can run you down with a very simple AA>

SettQ

AA combo.

At level 6, Sett is really good with his point and click CC. Be careful and keep an eye on the map when he this 6 as he might just get his Jungler to gank if he can’t kill you alone.

Sett is strong in team fights thanks to his Ultimate

SettR

. Do not fight inside the jungle. Do not group too closely as well or walk too far forward in a fight as he might just Ult

SettR

the frontline and fly into the backline dealing tons of AOE damage.
