Rakan will look to engage on you with his
as soon as you walk forward to last hit or poke. Minimize over extending when he has his
available to him.
Rakan will try to roam and help out other lanes if his lane is stagnant. Keep the wave pushed to prevent him from roaming.
Do not underestimate Rakan’s damage during the laning phase. For a Support, he can deal a lot of burst damage. Do not overstay your welcome if you’re on low HP.
Rakan will often look to engage and start a team fight by flanking or ambushing your team from the side. Stop him from doing this by having vision around you when sieging an objective.
Avoid fighting in tight-knit parts of the map such as inside the jungle or in the Dragon or Baron pit as it can allow Rakan to get a multi person charm/knockup.
Rakan’s main combo (
W) can be interrupted by crowd control. If Rakan runs directly towards you, displace him with some crowd control to stop him in his tracks.
Rakan becomes really strong at level 6 once he has unlocked his
. Minimize time spent over extended when he has it available.
Take note of when he has purchased and upgraded his Boots. Once they are upgraded, he is probably looking to roam.
Rakan will struggle in extended trades because he is rather squishy. Use this to your advantage by trying to dodge his skill shots and drag out each skirmish for as long as possible.
