Nidalee's main damage in the early game comes from her landing her Spear
as it triggers her Passive making her Cougar form abilities deal more damage. Avoid her spear
and a lot of her damage is mitigated.
In the early game Nidalee's Primal Surge
does a decent amount of healing and has a long cooldown, so if possible, Ignite her to prevent a heal that could turn the tides of a skirmish.
Nidalee has her Pounce
when in Cougar form that she can dodge abilities with, but if you can lock her down with crowd control, she is very squishy and will die quickly.
Ward around walls to prevent Spears
from hitting the carry champions on your team. Try and keep tanks in your front line, who can eat up Spears that Nidalee throws if necessary.
Nidalee's win condition comes from her extreme damage from her Javelin Toss
hitting a carry and then engaging shortly afterwards.
Nidalee in the late game has heals that can heal for a lot so if you can get any healing reducing items it will reduce her ability to heal herself and her team. Items with Grievous Wounds are key.
Nidalee has a huge power spike at level 3 because she has access to all of her Human and Cougar abilities, allowing her to have a lot of assassination possibilities- along with high mobility.
Nidalee has another big power spike when she hits level 6 because her cougar damage is increased. Her Runic Echoes Smite option also increases her damage, so take care when dueling her post 6.
Nidalee relies on her items so Lich Bane increases her damage due to her Sheen damage. Once she has this item, don’t trade with her alone unless she misses her
