Nautilus counter tips

Laning Against

Once Nautilus has gone in, it is incredibly difficult for him to escape. Try to bait the enemy in just before your Jungler arrives for free and easy kills. Focus him first in the early game as he will be squishy.

Nautilus has a huge hit box on his

Q. Try your hardest to refrain from putting yourself in a position where he can hit you with it. Stick behind your minions throughout the early game.

Never use your dash or dodge ability unless his

Q is on cooldown. Being caught out by Nautilus
Q
can leave you in hot water which may result in you having to blow your Flash, so don’t use your dodge unless you have to.

Strategy VS

Avoid fighting or staying close to your teammates (bundled together). As Nautilus’s

R can knock players up who come into contact with it, if you’re close to the focused ally you might get hit too.

Nautilus will often be the frontliner for his team. Once he has gone in, try to focus him down if his teammates do not follow him in. Naut struggles getting out again once going in- so if he makes a mistake, abuse it

Nautilus will auto attack anybody who comes close to him in attempts to CC them with his Passive. Try and stay away and out of range during team fights if you’re squishy.

Power Spikes

Nautilus like many other hook champions is really strong at level 2 once he has unlocked his

Q >
E
combo. However, he is also strong at level 1 thanks to his Passive as he can double CC you with
Q
> AA.

Nautilus has increased all in potential when he has his

R up because it is point and click CC. Try not to overextend when he has it up because it can easily result in a kill.

As the game goes on, Nautilus will provide more and more utility for his team and get tankier and tankier. If you’re an AD champion, invest in armor pen items like the Last Whisper. If AP, go for Void Staff.
