Skaarl is one of the biggest contributors of what makes Kled unique, and also what makes him strong. Without Skaarl, Kled loses a significant amount of damage.
If your champion has CC or burst, save them until Kled uses his W and dismounts. Kled will ignore any damage or crowd control that dismounts him- rendering them useless.
Key things to look out for when laning into Kled is to dodge his Q and wait for him to use W, as without them, Kled will not be able to trade against you.

Be careful when you are dismounting Kled. From level 1-3, Kled can remount back easily with his abilities and turn the fight around. Keep him low, but not off Skaarl to reduce his chances of all ins.
At level 6, Kled can engage from afar with his . Expect the engage and only push up if you know where he is. If he leaves lane, ping your team as he may look to roam mid with his .
