Kalista is very powerful in early stages of the game, don’t go for extended trades against her as she will deal lots of extra damage with her .
Kalista is low range without any type of sustain before buying Vampiric Scepter. The best way to play against her in early game is by poking her down before trying to finish her off.
Kalista is a snowballing champion who falls of in the late game. Play safe and you will most likely outscale her in the later stages of the game.
Kalista is a great champion in terms of kite potential but at the same time she’s very vulnerable to any type of crowd control. Try to CC chain her and kill her quickly otherwise she’ll kite you forever.
Kalista will often kite forward in team fights so she is able to apply her Rend . When she kites forward, try to burst or lock her down so it makes her think twice before positioning so aggressively again.
It will be quite hard to tackle Kalista in team fights because she is so mobile. Luckily, most Kalista’s will play aggressive and position aggressively away from their Support. If she is isolated or too far forward- look to burst her down.
Kalistas first power spike is on Berserker’s Greaves, try to avoid her all ins at this point.
Her Second power spike is right when she completes her Blade of the Ruined King. Do not over extend or let her attack you for free as she can quickly take you down if she is in range of the items active.
Once Kalista has completed Runaan’s Hurricane, she will pump out a lot more damage and be able to apply more Rend stacks quicker. Do not go for extended trades in a 1v1 setting against her when she has this item.
