Garen passively regenerates health until he is hit by an enemy ability or takes non-minion damage. After level 11, non-epic monster damage will no longer stop Perseverance
Garen gains bonus movement speed and cleanses all slows. His next basic attack within 4.5 seconds deals bonus physical damage and silences his target for 1.5 seconds.
Garen permanently gains bonus armor and magic resist every time he kills an enemy unit up to a max of 50 bonuses. Activating Courage reduces incoming damage and grants tenacity.
Garen spins for 3 seconds dealing physical damage to enemies. While spinning, Garen is ghosted and cannot attack. It deals bonus damage to a single target and reduces armor if a target is hit 4 times.
This places a Villain mark on the enemy with the most kills recent kills.The ability also executes a target champion with magic damage or true damage if targeting the Villain.
It is common game knowledge that Garen's Q is an AA reset. Always auto before casting your Q for extra damage.
The EQ combo, strictly speaking, does more damage than the Bread and Butter Combo; Garen's E armour reduction will allow the following empowered auto to deal more damage. Q can be activated during or after E for stickiness or disengage respectively.
Garen's most straight forward way of engaging his targets.and dealing damage. Q gives Garen bonus MS to engage with and the silence prevents his targets from using disengages to escape his E. Post-6, R is used at the end (if within lethal).
Look to trade frequently during the early game, but only when it favours you. Play safe while your Passive gets to work before looking to trade again.

Split push when your Flash is down, and if you have Flash up, you can look to hunt down the "villain" for shutdown gold
